Today marks the 76th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, Xi said. The international community should firmly uphold the outcome of the victory of The Second World War, uphold the truth of history, and take history as a mirror for the future. In June this year, President Putin and I held a successful video meeting and announced the extension of the Treaty of Good-neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation between China and Russia. We reached new consensus on major issues such as strengthening china-Russia strategic coordination and all-round practical cooperation. The China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination in the new era enjoys strong momentum and broad prospects.

Xi stressed that the global landscape is undergoing profound changes, the COVID-19 epidemic is fluctuating, and the world economy is struggling to recover.

Regional cooperation in Northeast Asia faces both severe challenges and important opportunities.

All parties should focus on the region and look to the world to overcome difficulties and pursue development together.

 

We need to support each other in responding to the challenges posed by the epidemic, strengthen cooperation in vaccine research, development and production, provide more public goods to the international community, firmly oppose politicizing the issue of vaccine and virus traceability, and commit ourselves to building a community of health for mankind.

 

We need to make continued efforts to promote mutually beneficial cooperation, deepen synergy between the Belt and Road Initiative and the Eurasian Economic Union, support innovative development of the digital economy, jointly address global climate change and promote economic and social development in the region.

 

We need to work together to uphold regional peace and stability, bridge differences through dialogue and communication, build consensus, foster a vision of common, comprehensive, cooperative and sustainable security, and jointly build a common home of harmony and tranquility.

 

Noting that this year marks the centenary of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Xi said China has embarked on a new journey to comprehensively build a modern socialist country.

China is ready to work with all parties to uphold true multilateralism, uphold good faith, live up to good faith, pursue win-win cooperation and make steady progress toward the goal of building a community with a shared future for mankind.
